Marlene Venable, Founder of Happy Day Adult Day Support, discovered her passion for service early in her career as a Direct Support Professional in Virginia. What began as a job soon became a lifelong calling—to serve others with compassion, respect, and love. That calling planted the seed for what would eventually grow into Happy Day Adult Day Support.

“The name Happy Day was chosen with intention,” Marlene shares. “I wanted to create an environment where every individual we serve experiences joy, dignity, and belonging—where every single day can truly be a happy day.”

Guided by her vision, Happy Day was built to be more than a program. It’s a community where individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities are supported, uplifted, and celebrated for their unique gifts.

Under Marlene’s leadership, Happy Day continues to radiate warmth and positivity. The staff and participants form a family united by care, encouragement, and genuine connection. Every smile, every breakthrough, and every shared moment reminds us of our purpose—to create a place where lives are touched, growth is inspired, and happiness is always at the center.
